Whether you're on a sales bonus or paying an estate agent, our Commission Calculator works out the amount.
How to use the calculator (Commission Calculator)
- Enter the sales amount.
- Enter the commission rate.
- If commission only starts above a target, enter the threshold.
- Add any base pay to see total earnings.
The formula
Commission = (sales − threshold) × rate
A worked example
With the calculator's default settings, £45,000 of sales at 5% earns £2,250 commission.
Estate agent fees
UK estate agents usually charge 1% to 3% of the sale price, plus VAT at 20%. On a £300,000 sale at 1.2% + VAT, that's £4,320.
